Frigidaire Dishwasher i30 Code: Meaning & Fixes
- Meaning
- Leak or overflow: water has been detected in the bottom pan under the tub.
- Can I fix it?
- Sometimes, may need a pro
- Also shown as
- I30
- Seen on
- Frigidaire and Frigidaire Gallery dishwashers with a digital display, and Electrolux dishwashers with the same i codes.
i30 means water has reached the bottom pan under the tub: a leak or an overflow. The drain pump may run with a low hum while the code is on. Frigidaire’s manual points first to a loose connection at the water inlet valve and a dishwasher that isn’t level. Foam from the wrong detergent can cause it too.
Try this first
- Turn off the water supply to the dishwasher.
- Press Cancel, or switch the dishwasher off at the breaker for 5 minutes, then restart.
- Check the water inlet valve connection for drips.
- Check that the dishwasher is level.
- If there's foam in the tub, switch to automatic dishwasher detergent.
What causes i30
| Cause | What you notice | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Loose connection at the water inlet valve | Drips at the front left under the dishwasher | The inlet valve fitting behind the kick plate |
| Dishwasher not level | Water collects to one side | Level the dishwasher |
| Foam from dish soap or too much detergent | Suds in the tub or around the door | Use automatic dishwasher detergent only |
| Damaged door gasket | Water at the front edge of the door | The rubber seal around the tub |
| Internal leak (pump, sump or hose) | i30 returns after the base has dried | Needs a technician |
Fix it step by step
Tap a step number to tick it off as you go. Ticks stay on this device.
-
Shut off water and power
Close the water supply to the dishwasher and switch it off at the circuit breaker.
Safety: Water may be near electrical connections in the base. Cut the power before you remove the kick plate.
-
Check the inlet connection
Remove the kick plate and look at the water inlet valve fitting for drips or a loose connection.
-
Check the level and the seal
Check that the dishwasher sits level, and look over the door gasket for damage.
-
Clean the filters and spray arms
Clean the filters and the sump, and make sure nothing in the racks blocks the spray arms.
-
Let it dry
Leave the power and water off overnight so water in the base can dry and foam can disperse.
-
Restart
Restore water and power and run a short cycle. If i30 comes back, close the water and call for service.
When to call a technician
If i30 persists after a Cancel or 5-minute breaker reset and the checks above, call Frigidaire Customer Care or a technician. An internal leak means pulling the dishwasher out to find it.
